The story:
About a year after the events of The Defender II, you have settled down on Mars since the Earth has not been such a nice place since the great battle for Earth... hell, Earth was never a very nice place to begin with and the last thing you wanted was to go back and deal with the huge mess and ensuing chaos and corruption in the aftermath of the great battle. So you settled down on Mars, but a new figure has emerged onto the scene... a would be tyrant with a desire to expand his wicked empire from Xenstriff... one of the last few "cities" remaining on Earth. From his Imperial Palace on Xenstriff, the tyrant unleashes an invasion force onto Mars in order to expand his empire as well as eradicate any possible future threat of a rebellion against his empire from outside worlds. You, along with most of the local Mars colonists were completely thrown off guard by the invasion and have been captured and put into a death camp. It is up to you to escape and get to Xenstriff quickly and put an end to this tyrant and his evil empire before it becomes a serious problem for the galaxy!!!
